Watton Lane Water Orton Birmingham 'Welcome to Old Salts Women's Rugby' Formed in 1935 by the Saltley Grammer School pupils for the continuance of rugby football after school days ended, the badge and motto have been retained by the Old Salts club, which is independent of the school. We are an amateur club that relies on loyalty and enjoyment bonding our members to the club. To date we have been fortunate to make progress during a difficult period for amateur rugby union clubs throughout the country. Salts have run a Ladies team for four years, and have become a leading Midlands Club, recently reaching the final of the regional knock-out cup. The club is based in Water Orton, near Coleshill.
